Aid the Needy Kenya (ATN-K) was established in 2009 in Oyugis, Homa Bay County, by community leaders who recognized the urgent need for a locally-grounded organization capable of driving sustained development across the Lake Victoria Basin.
What began as a grassroots effort to address basic needs has grown into a well-established Community-Based Organization (CBO) operating across multiple counties — recognized by international partners, government agencies, and the communities it serves.
Over fifteen years, ATN-K has implemented dozens of impactful projects, forged partnerships with organizations in Belgium, the Netherlands, Ireland, Canada, and the United States, and built a reputation as a reliable, transparent, and deeply human development actor.
